Primošten is located on the main country road between Šibenik and Split. The main part of the village is situated on the two peninsulas and across the sea side, near the main country road. On the first peninsula there is old peasant village, with stony houses and narrow stony streets around the old church that dominates on the top of the hill. The second peninsula is covered by pine tree forest, with several hotel buildings and many stony and gravel beaches. One of those is amongst the 10 most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic coast. In last two decades Primošten has grown in to a pleasant tourist resort with many restaurants, cafes, sports grounds (tennis, volley-ball, basketball, water sports, entertainment for youngest guests) and walking areas("lungo mare", hiking in surroundings, bike routes). Despite the numbers of possible activities, Primošten is a relatively quiet place, suitable for holiday rest. The main disco-club "Aurora" is 1 km out of the village.
The neighbouring Mediterranean cities, Šibenik (25km), Trogir (20 km) and Split (45 km) offer a number of cultural and entertainment items, including historical monuments (stony churches, palaces medieval fortifications and picturesque medieval stony squares and narrow streets) as well as the different kinds of exhibitions and concerts.
The vicinity number of small islands and waterfalls of river Krka offers additional experience through organised one-day boat-tours or individual arrangement by car or local bus.
Arrival to Primošten can be achieved by car using highway Zagreb-Split, by plane (airport is in village Kaštela 25 km from Primošten + local bus), by boat (ferry is in Split + local bus) train (last station is Šibenik - to Primošten drives local bus) or by bus (bus station is in Primošten).
