Villa “Maris” is situated in the very center of the city of Split, in Plinarska street, alongside the National Theater (HNK) and the Veli Varoš (old part of the city center), at the foot of the Marjan's hill. Due to its great position, all mayor city's locations are only few minutes of walking distance, like the waterfront “Riva” and the Diocletian Palace, which is the oldest and best preserved late antique palace in the world. Vila “Maris” is more then a century old and it was renovated in the 2007th. The villa consists of two apartments, Maris and studio Marina. Except for its beautiful exterior, villa Maris is distinguished by its unique position, in fact, is located right in the very city's center, close to all important sites and facilities, and there is no need for a transportation of any kind. Next to the villa, the "Le Monde" restaurant is located , well known by its sea food and meat specialties, moreover there are two bakeries, supermarket, bank, a fish-market with a daily offer of fresh fish, fruits and veggies market, etc. One of the city's symbols, a recreational center Marjan (hill covered with a pine forest), is situated on the western side of the apartment. Its three peaks, offer an unforgettable view of the city of Split, the islands that surround it, on Kaštela's Riviera as well as towns Solin and Trogir. Hill Marjan is also known as the “city's lungs" because for walkers of all ages it offers peace and tranquility, recreation and entertainment, scenery with numerous churches, solitary oasis, and the natural and trim trails.
