Ferries connecting Split and Vis town on Vis island is the preferred way for the majority of Vis visitors. Also, Vis island can be reached departing from Ancona (only in summer) or from Hvar town on Hvar island (only on Tuesdays with catamaran - exclusively for passengers).
Which ferry boat will be used on a given day depends on the Jadrolinija's internal resources schedule. However, in the high season (from May to September) for the past few years have been used ferry boat Petar Hektorovic and catamaran Dubravka. The ticket prices are as follows:
- Low season (until May 1th, 2010)

- Ferry boat kids (3-12yr): around 3€
