Prvic Sepurine

Village Sepurine shares the island with Prvic-Luka. It's an old village of farmers and fishermen. Its church of St. Roko, which is situated in the center, was consecrated in 1620.

By the 19th century village grew so that the new church was built (consecrated 1878) on an overlooking hill Nobility recognized its relaxation potential. A summer house of noble Draganic-Vrancic family is situated here. In it a family crest and portrait of Faust Vrancic a scientist, historian and diplomat in Hubsburg empire is kept. Village itself has remained almost unchanged and offers history tour adventure that can't often be found.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I first visited my cousin on the island of Prvic. Well, let me assure you, it was breathtaking. I had the most wonderful time there. After travelling to many European cities which were busy, noisy and in some cases dirty, I was delighted to find that there were no noisy, polluting motorbikes or cars. It had natural beauty as well as the beauty of the old town. Sadly, it had its share of ruins from bombings. It was just like paradise. I will definitely be returning to Prvic!
